About Us

Concrete is beautiful, unpredictable and timeless

Concrete Studio creates beautiful handcrafted concrete furniture. We specialise in bathroom-ware, vanities, commercial counter-tops and much more using lightweight fibre reinforced concrete. Designers and skilled craftsmanship are at the core of our business and we will work closely with you to realise your vision in concrete.

We craft each piece using a combination of old school casting techniques and cutting-edge methods developed in-house at our workshop in Fremantle.

The chemical reactions involved in the concrete curing process require skill and experience to control. Each piece is beautifully different with mottling and colour patterns unique only to concrete: each piece that leaves the workshop is a one-off.

Concrete will change with use and age, with care it will stand the test of time and improve with it. Under normal care and use concrete will last the life of your home both functionally and aesthetically.

Concrete is for you if you are looking for something that is one-of-a-kind. Unlike the manufactured appearance of factory made surfaces and sinks, concrete has a more natural and organic look. The Japanese describe it best using the term wabi-sabi, an aesthetic which embraces and celebrates the imperfections and processes in handcrafted things.

Fremantle WA

Designed & locally made

We are proud that every piece that leaves the workshop doors is designed and produced in Western Australia. Noongar is the language of the Aboriginal people of the south-west of Western Australia and it’s a beautiful language. We gave our products Noongar names to give them a connection to where they are made.

Concrete Studio is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people. It lies between two of the five sacred hills of Fremantle. Clontarf Hill to the south and Cantonment Hill to the North. We wish to acknowledge and respect the continuing culture of the Whadjuk people and the contribution they make to the life of the City of Fremantle and this region.
