Ilka is a professional interior designer with 20 years of experience, specialising in spatial coordination and materiality.

At Concrete Studio, she spearheads our Australian office and oversees all operations across the Southern Hemisphere. Beyond her design expertise, Ilka is highly skilled at interpreting complex construction plans, managing tight deadlines, and guiding clients seamlessly through the process.

She is also responsible for design, quoting, and internal project management, making her the first point of contact for many of our clients.

Philip Mark’s journey with concrete began in 2003, when he created bespoke concrete furniture while restoring heritage properties on London’s South Bank. After moving to Australia in the late 2000s, he founded Concrete Studio: one of the first studios in the country dedicated exclusively to architectural concrete for interiors. A designer at heart, Phil has always been driven by form, material, and innovation, balancing creativity with technical precision.

Now based in Spain, he leads the development of global operations while continuing to shape the design direction that gives Concrete Studio its identity.

With over five years at Concrete Studio, Brent is our resident GFRC technician and an expert mould engineer. His role is integral to our manufacturing process, bringing precision and craftsmanship to every stage of production. Brent specialises in designing and assembling intricate basin forms in both silicone and fibreglass, as well as creating and resolving complex moulds for custom concrete castings.

Nearly every piece manufactured in our Fremantle studio has passed through Brent's hands. His technical expertise and meticulous attention to detail ensure that each piece meets our exacting standards.

Sebastian is the head of our San Diego studio. He brings two decades of high-end cabinetry and large-scale production experience. Based in California, he oversees all U.S. operations with a deep understanding of both craft and manufacturing efficiency.

Sebastian ensures that each piece reflects Concrete Studio's core values whilst being thoughtfully adapted to local contexts and client needs. His extensive background in premium fabrication allows him to maintain our exacting standards across the American market.
