For the Qantas Business Class Lounge at Perth Airport, Concrete Studio was commissioned to create a suite of bespoke concrete pieces that bring permanence and quiet refinement to the space. Designed exclusively for business and first-class passengers on the daily non-stop Perth - London service, the lounge required elements that combine strength, tactility, and comfort.
We produced pure white concrete tables, seating, and circular planters, each designed to integrate seamlessly with the interior architecture. Crafted from our high-performance GFRC, the pieces were engineered to endure the demands of a high-traffic environment while maintaining their sculptural elegance. The slender forms achievable with GFRC allowed us to balance durability with refined detailing, essential for a space that welcomes thousands of travellers each week.
The tables feature concealed power and USB charging, finished with either warm American oak or black fabric tops to soften the material contrast. The seating and planters continue this language, acting as quiet anchors within the space, functional, tactile, and enduring, designed to support both the architecture and the flow of people in transit.
